Renewal Date: 7/31 annually

Reporting Period: 7/1 to 6/30 annually

Required Hours: For licensees in public practice - 120 years with a minimum of 20 hours per year. For licensses not in public practice - 60 hours with a minimum of 16 hours per year.

Effective with reporting period 7/1/2019-6/30/2022, all licensees will be required to earn 120 total hours. Also, effective 7/1/2021-6/30/2022, all licensees will be required to earn 20 hours minimum yearly.

Ethics Required: No. Ethics courses are encouraged as part of the CPE requirement, but not required.

Effective with the reporting period ending 6/30/2022, 6 hours of Ethics will be required across the immediate preceding three reporting years.

Subject Breakdown: None.

Credit Limits: Credit for teaching is limited to 2x the credit available for taking the course.

Other State Policies: To qualify a program must be a formal program of learning which contributed directly to professional competence. North Dakota accepts courses from providers that are members of NASBA's National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
